VIETNAM: THE SECOND LIFE OF THE HO CHI MINH TRAIL

Director(s): Patrick BOITET   Contact Contact   Download Print page

The famous Ho Chi Minh trail was a determining factor in the victory of the Communist forces during the Vietnam war. Through the jungle of the Annam mountain range, the trail enabled the North to supply its forces in the South with men and arms. The Americans remained unsuccessful in their attempts to destroy the trail and stop the flow, despite unprecedented bombing. What is left of the Ho Chi Minh trail and life in the mountains more than 20 years after the end of the war? What have been the consequences of the toxic products used by the Americans? An enquiry filmed in the province of Quang Nam Da Nang. The former “war path” has become the main focus for development in the region.
