Children are always haunted by the image of a dangerous devouring sea. But if there are man-eating beasts, there are also shark-eating men. Each season, sailors from the Isle of Yeu cast their lines just a few leagues away from the coast in search of mole sharks. Five hundred tonnes of shark are fished each year in France, and the Isle of Yeu boasts 85% of this figure. We spend eight days on “L’Incrédule”, a “mole-boat”.
