In Rajasthan, in the North-West of India, the population is growing and the villages have spread to the very limits of the nature reserves. The Ranthambore Nature Park is a major wild animal reserve and the home to twenty tigers. Yet, the forest also represents the villagers’ main resources and cohabitation between man and animal is imperative for their survival. Fateh Singh Rathore, a descendant of the Maharaja of Jaipur , has dedicated his life to the preservation of the tigers for the last 30 years. He aims to protect the tiger’s natural habitat and, at the same time, tries to help the local population living near the reserve.
