With the growing number of people living on their own, feeling isolated, distressed or lacking communication, SOS-Surdus, a helpline that is unique in the world, allows Deaf people to communicate anonymously and confidentially with their peers in Sign Language.

Is it possible to offer a friendly and compassionate ear and respond from a distance to the most crucial problems, such as mental health, physical violence or addictions?
Our team from L’Oeil et la main takes part in a training course for counsellors in order to share the challenges of what has so far been a voluntary occupation but is now fast becoming a profession in its own right.
