In France, the “Defender of Rights” is an independent administrative authority that has been in existence since 2011. However, it is only since 2020 that deaf people can make us of it in their language, thanks to a visio-conference service with an interpreter.

But when and how to appeal to the Defender, and what outcome can be expected once the procedure has started?
Through complaints and referrals, we discover the discrimination and blockages encountered by the deaf in the professional environment, but also the solutions offered by the Defender system to resolve certain situations.
A film that helps to better understand this institution, in order to better assert everyone’s rights.
