The Northeast of the United States has long been one of the most densely populated areas on the planet. Nearly sixty million people still live today between the great lakes and the Atlantic coast. New York and Chicago alone bring together more than thirty million people.

These two cities, which have largely marked American history in the 20th century, have also left an indelible imprint on the banks of the Hudson river as well as on the shores of Lake Michigan thanks to their industrial past. To visit New York and Chicago is like undertaking a unique journey in a universe of concrete and steel.

It is also an opportunity to discover how urban cultures have emerged in these extraordinary settings. The documentary takes us to meet artists who keep reinventing their different forms of expression every day, transforming the cities’ every nook and cranny into a medium with no limits to the imagination.

AVAILABLE FOR SCREENING: English version with provisional commentary voice.
