On July 3, 1962, after seven years of war, Algeria became independent.

This series of seven episodes gives a voice to the men who played key roles in the Algerian independence struggle: the anonymous combatants, many historical leaders of the insurrection against France, leaders of the FNL (National Liberation Front) in Algeria and abroad…
They spoke for the first time to tell of their struggle from their view point.
