MEDITATION, A MOMENT FOR ONESELF

Director(s): Claire CHOGNOT – Writer(s): Sandrine HERMAN, Claire CHOGNOT   Contact Contact   Download Print page

Play
Meditation used to be a purely religious practice. Today, however, we meditate to relax and “let go”, to better manage stress and cope with painful thoughts or just to enjoy the moment.
Meditation had become increasingly popular, but does it appeal to the deaf as much as it does to the hearing?

To find out, Sandrine immerses herself in a class on "Yoga and meditation" taught in sign language. Her experience will be the starting point of a meditative journey leading her from the Tibetan Temple to the hospital where the therapeutic virtues of meditation enjoy ever greater recognition.
