From Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, you can see the country’s emblematic Mount Ararat. But it is in Turkey, behind a border that is closed since 1993.

A full century after the genocide, Armenian-based tour operators offer a travel package of a new kind for those who wish to visit the land of their ancestors in Turkey.
This new initiative inspired documentary filmmaker Bernard Mangiante to gather a group of seven travel companions, from Armenia, Turkey and Europe,heading for eastern Anatolia in a bus.

Thus begins a road movie with the adventures of Raymond, Anna, Hakop, Melissa Joan Stepan and Anush on their journey through the land where their forebears lived until 1915...
