Nizon, small suburb of the town of Pont-Aven. A farmer, a mechanic and the owner of a pancake bar got together to pick up the paint brush, just for fun… These astonishing « barn painters » have already produced more than a hundred paintings in a style that is both rural and very ‘in’. The work of some thirty « Bretons of pop’ art », spiritual children of Gauguin and Warhol, are exhibited in the bistros around the village. A good-natured guided tour of Nizon – evidently, you don’t have to be an artist in order to produce art.
