In the old town of the city of Poitiers, time seems to stand still in one of the workshops. In this haven of peace, the movements are slower, softer, and there is a delicious smell of hot wax. The candles are still being made by hand, using age-old techniques, some of them dating back to the Middle Ages. And the custom is kept alive, for the flickering light of the candle brings light and warmth to everyone, believer and atheist alike.
