A new sight in Bogota : young police women patrol the most sordid and dangerous streets of the city. Their mission is to prevent juvenile delinquency and drug addiction or to help those who have already gone down that road. These young women have guts but they are also helpful and charming. They represent the ‘elite’, the new face of a police that wants to improve a reputation tainted by corruption and brutality. For the down-and-out youngsters they often represent much more than the force of law: a surrogate mother.
