Director(s): Ilan ZIV – Writer(s): Ilan ZIV Contact Print page
First lead, Los Angeles: a man commits suicide. Hundreds of phials containing a variety of virus and bacteria are discovered in his refrigerator: weapons of mass destruction.
Second lead, September 2002: a man dies in the arms of his mistress in South Africa. His computer contains a catalogue of product for sale: nearly 700 different biological substances, some of them highly dangerous.
This investigative report by Ilan Ziv reveals proof of illegal production and sale of anthrax at the moment. This are weapons that can be transported and distributed easily: they are small, lightweight but absolutely deadly. Today it happens in South Africa, a country still recovering from the difficult Apartheid legacy. But where will it be tomorrow?
Iraq may have been outlawed for its possession of weapons of mass destruction. However, at the same time - away from the spotlight – weapons of mass destructions are being produced and distributed without any control by the international community.
