In a quiet Paris side street, a school unlike any other: the pupils a part of a professional choir, that of RADIO FRANCE.
The mornings are for ‘standard’ lessons whereas the afternoons are totally dedicated to music and singing. The aim is not to form future the Pavarotti or Callas, but to form a professional children’s choir who learn how to work and sing together, as a group.
We accompany the children, aged 9 to 18, for a whole year to discover the discipline they have to obey. Time for play and often even family is sacrificed in favour of the intensive voice practice. Performing or going on tour are exceptional periods in the year and allows the ‘community’ to become closer, to form one body.
The “Voice School” is a place of joy and suffering, sometimes of failure, but the dream is kept alive...that of being part of show business…
