Lo’Jo does not fall into any particular category, the group’s music is at the crossroads of very different musical influences: Berbers’ songs, raggae, gypsy music… No doubt, their music truly belongs to the world…
Discovered by Peter Gabriel, Lo’Jo was able to perform all over the world. But theirs is not just a band of musicians, the Lo’jo tribe enjoys to keep their audience guessing. They created a new show, somewhere between gypsy cabaret and street theatre, they call it the “Kabar”, a circus show, that had first been staged at the “Festival Chalon dans la Rue”. The “Kabar” serves as the starting point of our voyage accompanying these modern day ‘saltimbanques’ from rehearsal to performance, a voyage strewn with obstacles and musical encounters…
