We set sail for the first voyage of a group of young sailors (including ten young women!) on board the "Dar Mlodzierly" (Gift of Youth), a three mast training ship of the Polish Navy that was named in memory of another famous tall ship, the "Dar Pomorza ("The gift of Pomerania"), now a naval museum anchored in the port of Gynia, near Gdansk .
The "Dar Mlodzierlky", built in 1982, remains faithful to the tradition of its prestigious 'ancestor', a ship that has changed flag three times to become one of the most prestigious training ships in the world. It has been in service until the 1970s to the delight of the trainee officers who toured the world on board her. Just as the young sailors today on board the "Gift of Youth".
