Play
This year, a group of Brazilian deaf artists has been invited to the “Clin d Œil” festival in Reims (France) to present, in exclusivity, a play on the famous Rio favela "Cidade de Deus”, the City of God.

By adapting the story of the film “City of God” to a play, they offer their own vision on the reality of the favelas. Are they defined primarily by drug trafficking, crime and corruption? What’s it like to live the life of a deaf person in Brazilian favelas?
Isabelle Voizeux meets them to find out how they will communicate their experience and this street culture, which is largely unknown.

AVAILABLE FOR SCREENING: original French (commentary, sub-titles, signing)
