The Watergate scandal was triggered by the break-in, in June 1972, at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington D.C. The scandal eventually led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon on 9 August 1974.

Washington, 17th May 1973. A Senat’s commission headed by Democrat Sam Ervin opened an investigation on the attempted break-in at the Democrats’ campaign headquarters and on the concerted efforts by some of the White House staff to hush up the affair. Eighteen months later, Richard Nixon, president of the United States of America resigned.
This was the scandal that rocked American society ! Just like a TV soap opera, « Watergate Story » follows the unfolding events brought to light by the Ervin Commission. An analysis of the deepest crisis in U.S. politics.
