With social networks and the Covid lockdowns, fraud on the internet has exploded: scams playing on sentiments and romance, fake SMS or dubious online investment platforms... According to the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office, in 2021, financial scams caused the French citizens a loss of more of 500 million euros.

But it’s not always only money we lose. Wallès Jr. Kotra from the “L’Oeil et la Main” team, sets out to meet deaf victims and experts, in order to help us detect the pitfalls of digital technology, and learn more about potential remedies. And above all…help us to avoid being fooled.
