Menopause is often associated with a set of symptoms - hot flashes, mood swings, gain of weight... and a demeaning image for women. So as it is a bit scary, menopause often hits women by surprise, without them being prepared for it.

We are going to meet three deaf women: Shirley, Aurore and Sandrine, who share their experience, the difficulties but also the positive aspects offered by this new stage in their lives. During a "feminist café", they are speaking openly and reveal the different ideas women have of menopause.
Sociologist Cécile Charlap encourages us to change our perspective on this obligatory passage so as to make women feel better about it, each in their own way.
