In the centre of Paris, in a secure place under the Carrousel du Louvre site, we meet Julie Abbou who is head of works of art.

She is the first deaf person to hold this position at the prestigious Research and Restoration Centre of the Museums of France. Specializing in the “Arts of Fire” (encompassing porcelain, enamel and glass-making), Julie contributes to the conservation of historic, rare and precious ceramics.
Her career path reveals her determination, hard work…and also the passion that motivates her to share with us the mysteries of this little-known profession, in the hope of sparking new vocations.

AVAILABLE FOR SCREENING: original French (commentary, sub-titles, signing)
