DEAF AND LITERATURE (The)
Director(s): Veronique BERTHONNEAU – Writer(s): Véronique BERTHONNEAU Contact Print page
For this occasion, she surrounded herself with deaf authors: writers, author of comics, translators or poets... The deaf have often a very delicate relationship with written French. Yet, there are some who have overcome this complex relationship by inventing different ways to put their thoughts, their creativity onto paper...
What are their motivations, what drives them and what holds them back? How do they relate to text, words, images? How do they make use of the bridge between sign language and written text?
AVAILABLE FOR SCREENING: original French (commentary, sub-titles, signing)
