Part 2: Summer
Anthropologist Nastassja Martin and filmmaker Mike Magidson once again make the long trip to the far end of the Kamchataka peninsular, happy to spend the summer with Daria and her family…and some memorable characters in the heart of the forest. This time, no need for snowmobiles, the last leg of the journey is by boat on the Itcha River.
Summer is a time of explosion of life, a profusion of plants and animals, and it is the time of reunion. Daria's grandchildren leave their school in the city to reconnect, in the company of the adults, with beliefs and a way of life in harmony with the surrounding nature.
Nastassja, accompanied once again by her little daughter, looks forward to spending the summer with this clan of Evens who have become a second family to her...
