A DAY IN THE UNITED KINGDOM
Director(s): Roland THERON, Timothée JANSSEN – Writer(s): Roland THERON, Caroline HOCQUARD Contact Print page
The United Kingdom, the world's fifth largest economy, has the highest rate of urbanization in Europe. But also a great variety of stunning landscapes and vibrant communities.
Let’s take 24 hours to discover the people and the forces which shape the territory of this country that has now chosen a very different European destiny for itself.
* * * *
The United Kingdom represents an original geopolitical construction. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland make up this multinational state 40% the size of France but with nearly the same number of inhabitants. Yet, the UK has the highest rate of urbanization in Europe: nine out of ten of its citizens live in the city.
We’ll be looking at the country from the skies, to understand how the country will be preserving its union despite its differences... between London and the rest of the country...between the North and the South, between deserted regions and saturated cities.
The film is accompanied by a 5 x 26' history series. Click here to discover "THE UNITED KINGDOM, HISTORY SEEN FROM ABOVE.
THE PRESS:
"Express visit highlighted with spectacular and vertiginous aerial images, which are the cornerstone of this film seen from above .... a trip that hits the mark. Notably thanks to the narrative balance, which alternates aerial shooting and pertinent landings during which we get acquainted with those who make sure all is functioning properly in this oceanic archipelago..."
