Some search for mere traces of microbial or plant life, others hope very seriously to get in touch with civilizations far more developed than ours.
Serge Brunier travels across California, from Los Angeles to San Francisco, meeting with those who are looking for other inhabited worlds. Astrobiologists or researchers from the SETI Institute all believe in the existence of life beyond our own blue planet.
