Workou and Tasfaï are fishermen. They are terrified of crocodiles of Lake Chamo. Nevertheless , each morning they set out in their frail rafts made of logs and roped together with creepers. A special delicacy lurks in the lake’s perilous waters : the Nile perch. A fish that can weigh up to 220 pounds and would bring a fortune to the daring fisherman who catches one. That’s all the incentive needed for the men to spend whole days and weeks braving the crocodiles of Lake Chamo, at the foot of the « Mountains of Paradise »
