NICOLAS BOUVIER, Modern-Day Nomad
Director(s): Joel CALMETTE – Writer(s): Olivier BAUER Contact Print page
In 1953, accompanied by a friend and his camera, he set off in a Fiat on a trip that was to last four years. The East, especially Japan, was to make a lasting impression on him and he returned to the country several times throughout his life. After thirty years as a "modern-day nomad", Bouvier became known all over the world as "the inspiration of a new generation of travel writers".
A tribute to the writer and the observer - a man whose spirit continues to wander the globe, caught between the two major poles of his existence: Switzerland and Japan.
