JEAN MOULIN, THE MAN BEHIND THE MYTH
Director(s): William KAREL – Writer(s): William KAREL Contact Print page
No one had ever seen him again.
His ashes were transferred to the Panthéonin Paris to join the great names of the French Republic. But his hero image had been attacked ever since De Gaulle’s death in 1969. His actions and arrest became the subject of revisionist theories.
In 1977, his former secretary, Daniel Cordier, decided to dedicate the rest of his life to the rehabilitation of Jean Moulin’s honour.
The press:
"Another documentary on Jean Moulin? Yes, but of the highest order. William Karel's film is less a portrait of the icon of the Resistance than the passionate and poignant story of unshakeable fidelity." (Samuel Douhaire, Libération 21/06/03)
