This three-part film, shows how the United States exercised its world leadership in the second half of the 20th century and examines how a number of major post-war crises were handled.
The series places its focus on the important role played by American Secretaries of State and how they handled a particular crisis when in office .
It also offers them the opportunity to comment on the way in which predecessors and successors coped with “their” crises… an exercise which provokes some surprising anecdotes…
