BREXIT (working title)

Brexit opens a veritable Pandora’s box that could well spell the end of the European Union as we know it today.
Indeed, in the first rounds of negotiations, the EU27 seem to present a united front in order to impose a precise framework to this divorce: the rights of European Citizens in the United Kingdom, a financial settlement, the Irish Border, international treaties... But what will happen when it comes to rebuilding new relations with the United Kingdom, sector by sector?
Thanks to privileged access to the European Commission and the European Council, this documentary immerses itself into the heart of the negotiations in Brussels and questions the fate of a European Union in the grip of uncertainty. Europe up against the wall.
BREXIT, an unprecedented divorce. This historic event brings the European Union face to face with its own history, its contradictions and divisions, but also its own limits.
It undermines the continent’s stability at the worst of times. But it has at least the merit of forcing us to take a closer look at an institution which we believed all the more immutable as we were either indifferent to it or we were overly critical by making it the source of all our woes.
For two years, this film will immerse itself into the core of the Brussels negotiations. It will be released only after negotiations have been successfully completed - or after it becomes clear that they have failed.
In other words, most likely none of these images will be released before April 2019.
